What Makes Our Store Special
We promise quick delivery. The owners are on site, so we can always give personal attention to orders and your needs. Our inventory is among the largest in Western Carolina and North Georgia. We are always looking for items that give you more value for your money and we accept purchase orders from public institutions. We inventory a large selection for the often neglected Special Education, Middle, High School, Home School and Sunday/Bible School markets.
Company History
We began our business in Murphy, North Carolina 9 years ago. Previous to this we managed a metro Atlanta store for 2 1/2 years, and owned a metro Atlanta store for 3 years.
On September 1, 2001 we moved the Murphy store to Main Street Station in Hiawassee, Georgia.
About Owners
James O'Brien:
BA - Illinois State University; Comprehensive Major Social Science/History, French Minor. MA-University of Missouri, European History and Renaissance Studies.
CFP- College for Financial Planning
James has taught history and social studies on Middle and High School levels as well as gifted education and French on High School and Elementary levels.
Maureen O'Brien:
BS - Illinois State University, Speech Pathology
MS - Georgia State University, Speech Pathology
30 years experience as a Speech Pathologist in North Carolina, Georgia and Missouri.

We are competitive with all Parent/Teacher stores that market to our area and generally meet or beat their prices.
We accept returns that are in good condition for refund or exchange within 60 days.
If we don't have an item in stock we will cheerfully order it for you.

Additional Information
James (Jim) has also had experience in radio station production, announcing and sales. He has also been, and still takes pleasure in, planning and directing music liturgy for his church. This can be helpful to you when materials are needed for planning Sunday/Bible School themes.
Maureen is our Special Education expert. A great deal of her Speech Pathology practice has been with Special Education students.
We carry a great deal of home school material including the full line of "Alpha Omega" Curriculum.

Directions To Store
We are in Hiawassee at 220 S. Main St. in Main Street Station across from the Dairy Queen.We are on the Georgia/North Carolina border in scenic Hiawassee (Cherokee for "pretty fawn", the name legend has it that was given to a beautiful Indian maiden).
We primarily serve the people of the Georgia counties of Towns, Union, Rabun, White and Fannin; and the North Carolina counties of Clay, Cherokee, Swain, Jackson, Haywood and Macon. We also have numerous customers from other Georgia towns including Atlanta and Athens; and from Florida who come to enjoy our beautiful mountains and Lake Chatuge.
