Shipping charges are 10% of the total purchase - $6.95 minimum. We ship UPS or priority mail.

 

 

What Makes Our Store Special

Apple Bee Company is located on the waterfront in the historical Mariner's Church building in Portland Maine's Old Port District.
As well as carrying products for the parent market, Apple Bee Company specializes in many storybook friends, such as: Madeline, Curious George, Winnie The Pooh, Clifford, Eloise, Peter Rabbit and many more. The store also features Mary Englebreit products for collectors who appreciate Mary's mottos.
Apple Bee Company stocks a variety of infant products many of which are locally made, such as: polarfleece blankets, hand knit hats and many stimulating developmental toys. In addition, the store carries many other items for school age children.

 

 

Company History

Apple Bee Company was created in 1981 exclusively as a teacher store on Wharf Street not far from its present location. After seven years, the business moved to 370 Fore Street and found it necessary to expand into many other markets to attract new clientele, such as: parents, homeschoolers and grandparents.

 

 

About Owners

Jane Letson, a former elementary teacher created Apple Bee Company to expose teachers to the many educational products available on the market. She holds a Master's Degree in Education and is able to assist parents with various educational challenges presented by their children.
